now is offering around-the-clock convenience care for more than 50
common conditions to anyone who lives, works or travels within
California. The mobile-based clinic is accessible anytime for care from
certified nurse practitioners who diagnose and treat minor ailments,
with a prescription when appropriate.

describes. Certified nurse practitioners review the information to make
a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan, which comes with a
prescription, if necessary, that’s sent to the customer’s pharmacy of
choice. An email or text is sent once the treatment plan is ready,
usually in 30 minutes or less.
Each treatment costs $45 and comes with free follow-up care. Among the
conditions virtuwell is able to treat include acne, birth control,
bladder infection, sinus infection and sunburn. In addition, virtuwell
doesn’t require specialized technology or use of a webcam, further
improving access and convenience.
Since its 2010 launch, virtuwell has treated more than 170,000 cases.
According to customers, 99 percent say the online clinic is simple to
use, and 98 percent say they would recommend the service to a family
