Let’s face it, everyone dreads Mondays because it means the weekend is over, but it can’t be that bad, especially when photos of hunks take by storm social media.

The less-liked day of the week is most popularly known as #ManCrushMonday or #MCM on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and it’s the perfect time to showcase who you’re crushing on.

There’s not much explication needed for “El Sol de Mexico.” Luis Miguel’s light eyes, messy dirty blond hair and tanned skin definitely had a way with the ladies back in the days; in fact, the 44-year-old star is still an eye candy for many.

2. Menudo

Menudo was a Latin boy band from the 90s.

Puerto Rican Latino boy band, Menudo, had teenyboppers going insane in the late eighties and early nineties. Though he’s not in the photograph above, a popular #mcm today is Ricky Martin, who also formed part of the group.

3. Chayanne

Another Puerto Rican that was all the buzz in the nineties was Chayanne. Though the actor and singer looks flawless today, he surely was a great eye candy when his career was kicking off. Personally, an 8-year-old me loved watching him in telenovelas, such as “Volver Empezar” with singer Yuri in 1994.

4. Servando & Florentino from Salserin

Salserin were the it factor in the nineties.

Florentino Primera, left, and his brother Servando were the heartthrobs of the popular Venezuelan salsa group Salserin. They’re young faces, charisma and captivating fresh voices stirred up pubescent pandemonium across the South American nation in the 1990s.

5. Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias became a hit in the mid-90s.

Enrique Iglesias is still a favorite today, especially with his cross-over and hit songs sounding on the radio. His sensuality does not play, as the Spanish singer drove thousand of women crazy during his beginning days in the mid-1990s.

6. The Backstreet Boys

Ahhh? The Backstreet Boys, every teenyboppers dream come true in the nineties. Little did you know that two of the BSBS members are of Puerto Rican descent, that would be A.J. McClean (middle) and Howie Dorough (fourth from left). Both men surely knew how to add sazon to that stage every time they performed.

TV host and actor Mario Lopez has been making women gush since the beginning of his career, which goes back to the late eighties and nineties. Lopez, of Mexican descent, took television by storm with his manly and sexy character A.C. Slater on the hit-show “Saved by the Bell.”

Honestly, Spanish-language soap operas would not be the same if it weren’t for Mexican actor Fernando Colunga. In the 90′s, women tuned in to telenovelas such as “Maria la del Barrio,” “La Usurpadora” and “Esmeralda” just to catch a glimpse of this heartthrob.
