#WomenYouShouldHaveHeardof is a late tribute to badass women in the science world

We have a love/hate relationship with the International Women’s Day. On the one hand we’re way better than we were 50 years ago yet we’re still not there. We don’t want flowers or chocolates to celebrate “our day” what we need is equal rights. That’s it. Still, the cool part of this commemoration is the fact of being honored, which is always great. Yesterday, the IFL Science account created #WomenYouShouldHaveHeardof hashtag to give credit to women who deserve recognition for their work, especially in the world of science.

So today we decided to show you women who were real badassses in their fields. Is never too late to highlight the accomplishment of great women, is it?
