CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dozens of Illinois PGA professionals will be on hand at the 2016 Chicago
Golf Show, Feb. 26-28, in a new area designated the Illinois PGA
Village, where the pros will provide free lessons to help golfers of all
ages and abilities tune up their golf games for the upcoming season.
The Illinois PGA Village will house a full-swing lesson area, a putting
lesson station, a mini-putt golf course, two Foresight simulators, a
Closest-to-the-Pin contest, and the Illinois PGA booth, where golfers
can get information on upcoming tournaments, the Drive Chip and Putt
Championship, PGA Junior League Golf, and how to contact your local PGA
Participants in activities in the Illinois PGA village will be eligible
for daily raffles of foursomes of golf at Chicago-area golf courses and
other prizes. In addition, Illinois PGA professionals will take to the
main stage to give lessons to local Chicago celebrities and discuss
everything from junior golf to clubfitting.
“The Illinois PGA is excited to introduce the Illinois PGA Village to
Chicago Golf Show attendees,” said Carrie Williams, executive director
of the IPGA. “By organizing IPGA activities into their own Village, we
hope that attendees will be able more easily to locate the various
services our members have provided at the Show for many years.” The

From 12:30-1:15 on Saturday, The Illinois PGA also will recognize the
Illinois High School Association state golf champions at an awards
presentation on the Daily Herald Main Stage.
Every attendee is eligible to receive a free round of golf courtesy of
GolfVisions, Inc., which operates 16 courses in the Chicago area.
Well-known trick shot artist Peter Longo – a/k/a “The King of Clubs” –
will make his first appearance at the Chicago Golf Show, performing one
show each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Three members of the 1985 Super Bowl championship team – tight end Emery
Moorehead (Friday), cornerback Mike Richardson (Saturday) and linebacker
Jim Morrissey (Sunday) – will try to sharpen their golf games by taking
lessons from Illinois PGA professionals.
