IRI’s Robert I. Tomei will discuss the impact of millennials in
today’s marketplace in a presentation titled, “The New Shopper
Journey: Unique Millennial Segments,”
at New York University’s
annual Big Data Conference, hosted at the Stern School of Business.



Representing 30 percent of the population, millennials are the
largest generation in U.S. history. With a dollar share of CPG
spending forecasted to grow 70 percent by 2020, reaching $290
billion, the millennial generation is a key group for CPG marketers
to understand and reach.
Tomei will highlight the group’s differentiating factors and the six
different segments within the millennial population, advising CPG
marketers on how to effectively reach this complex, massive and
rising generation and capture their share of this $290 billion
