The DQ® System Announces Plans to Develop 24 Locations in Five Caribbean Countries in the Next Five Years
MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The DQ system announced today that it will open 24 locations
within the next five years in five countries in the Caribbean.
Plans call for the development of DQ Grill & Chill® locations
in Trinidad and Tobago, DQ Grill & Chill and DQ
Treat locations in Jamaica, and DQ Treat locations in St. Lucia,
Grenada and St. Maarten. Currently, there are eight DQ Treat
locations in Trinidad, the first of which opened in 2012.

introducing our DQ Grill & Chill concept to fans in
Trinidad and expanding the DQ brand in Jamaica. Our presence in

Royal Treats Ltd. signed the multi-unit, multi-country agreement with
American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) to develop the new locations.
They currently operate eight DQ Treat locations throughout
Trinidad and Tobago and recently introduced the DQ Bakes!®
menu of nine hot-from-the-oven and made-to-order items that include
Hot Desserts à la Mode, Artisan-style Sandwiches and Snack Melts.
With their new agreement, they will introduce DQ Grill & Chill
locations to fans in Trinidad and Jamaica. These new locations will
serve all fan-favorite DQ treats and a full range of food options
including the brand’s signature GrillBurgers™, chicken strip
baskets, chicken sandwiches and a variety of salads, sandwiches and the
full DQ Bakes! menu.
The DQ Treat stores will feature the soft-serve products that
have made the DQ system an icon in the industry, such as the
signature Blizzard® Treat which is served
upside down, soft-serve cones with the signature curl on top, sundaes,
and DQ Frozen Cakes. “We are excited to be expanding this iconic

Ltd. “Residents and tourists will now have more opportunities to
experience the same exceptional treats and menu items that they have
come to know and expect from the DQ system.”
