Arizona Virtual Academy Ranked Among State’s Top 50 High Schools for Second Year in a Row

– Online Public School Ranked 38th Statewide by Phoenix Business

PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) is ranked among the top 50 public high
schools in Arizona for the second year in a row, according a new ranking
by the Phoenix Business Journal.

The ranking, which is based on 2015 SAT test scores, slots AZVA
38th on the prestigious list. AZVA students boasted an average score of
1565 on the standardized test, which ranks skills in mathematics,
critical reading and writing – 75 points above the national average of
1490.

“Our students are extraordinary, and we could not be more proud of
reaching this milestone two years in a row,” said Kelly Van Sande, head
of school at Arizona Virtual Academy. “AZVA is able to provide targeted
instruction, intervention and acceleration in order to meet the needs of
all of our students and help each of them reach their personal education

AZVA 2016 valedictorian Sarah Negovan, now a freshman in Northern
Arizona University’s Honors program.
