Groupon Aims to Donate More than a Half Million Meals to Local Communities

Two-week #BuyDealsGiveMeals campaign features some of the top
restaurants in the country and aids those in need

(NASDAQ: GRPN) launched #BuyDealsGiveMeals (,
a food-focused campaign that encourages people to experience one its
tens of thousands of local restaurant deals and give back to their
community. Starting today and running through Oct. 28, Groupon will
donate one meal to Feeding America (
for every restaurant offer purchased, with the goal of reaching more
than 500,000 meals donated.

“Whether it’s paella or pizza, our customers have the unique opportunity
to experience the best restaurants in their area and help fight hunger
with every purchase,” said Dan Roarty, senior vice president of
restaurants, Groupon. “And with the holidays just around the corner,
this is a great way to help feed the 1 in 8 Americans who struggle with
food insecurity.”
