New Countertop Sanitizer Eliminates 99.9% of Bacteria Exposed to UV
Light.
Dries, and Stores Baby Bottles, Pacifiers, Sanitizes Toys,
Remote Controls, Cell Phones & More

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–UviCube,
the first baby-focused sanitizing device in the U.S. to utilize the
germicidal properties of ultraviolet (UV) light on everything from baby
bottles to cell phones, today announced its availability in the U.S.
market. Parents who want to efficiently and conveniently sanitize items
their babies use and touch everyday can now turn to UviCube to eliminate
99.9% of harmful germs found on the surfaces of baby bottles, pacifiers,
cups and toys. UviCube also sanitizes items that cannot be exposed to
moisture or heat, such as cell phones, remote controls and other
electronic, household and personal items.

“New parents can find themselves stuck in a constant cycle of feeding,
washing, sanitizing, drying and putting away,” said founder Autumn
Colayco. “UviCube offers much more convenience for parents with its ‘set
it and leave it’ functionality and efficient storage capabilities. It
helps provide the peace of mind that their baby’s items are thoroughly
sanitized.”

UviCube features a highly reflective inner chamber that maximizes the
reach of UV light to kill bacteria on the exposed surfaces of the
contents inside, with the simple press of a button. Offering more
versatility than just a baby bottle sterilizer, UviCube’s UV light is
safer than boiling water or hot steam, protecting users from the risk of
burns, and is able to sanitize moisture and heat-sensitive items like
electronics and other personal items.

UviCube offers three cycles:

  • DRY+UV: 35 minutes of drying and 10 minutes of sanitizing for
pre-washed baby-centric feeding, teething and play items
  • UV: 10 minutes for sanitizing items that don’t require drying or are
    sensitive to heat and moisture
  • FAN: An optional 5 minutes of circulation for additional drying or to
ventilate the inner chamber between uses.

Measuring 12” wide x 14” deep x 15” tall, UviCube is large enough to
hold up to six bottles (more depending on bottle size and accessories)
or an assortment of items like a tablet, a watch and television remote,
yet it is compact enough to fit conveniently on any countertop. The
unique drying function and storage chamber allow parents to save on
clean-up time and counter space, while the modern design and blue and
grey color options easily integrate into any kitchen or nursery.

Founder Autumn Colayco became highly conscious about protecting against
germs after her first child spent the first two weeks of her life in the
NICU for an infection. After searching for devices and gadgets to
protect her child from germs, she came across UV products while living
in Asia. Autumn decided to develop a high quality product specifically
for the U.S. market that was easy to use and understand, validated by a
reputable, nationally recognized laboratory in the U.S. and met all U.S.
federal, state and local standards.

UviCube retails for $299 and is available at www.uvicube.com
and select retail and online outlets. For more information, please visit www.uvicube.com.
