Eating Disorder Programs Available at All Rogers Behavioral Health Locations
OCONOMOWOC, Wis.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Starting November 2, children and adolescents ages 10 to 17 with eating
disorders can receive partial
hospitalization and intensive
outpatient treatment at Rogers
Behavioral Health—Chicago and Rogers
Behavioral Health—Nashville.
“These eating disorder programs are going to use the same evidence-based
treatment methods that Rogers uses in Wisconsin and in Tampa, Florida,”
says Stephanie
Eken, MD, regional medical director. “Besides treating bulimia,
anorexia and other disorders, these programs will also help children
address emotional and social distress brought on by the disorder.”
The partial hospitalization programs offer treatment six hours per day,
five days per week and the intensive outpatient programs provide
treatment three hours per day, five days per week. Under the direction
of an experienced treatment team, the programs emphasize family
involvement and increase a patient’s chances of achieving a sustainable
recovery. The family and their child or adolescent develop the skill
base to address the disorder and reduce symptoms.
“It’s a good feeling to be able to provide treatment to young people in
the Chicago area that we weren’t able to serve before,” says Karen
Cassiday, PhD, clinical director of Rogers Behavioral
Health—Chicago. “It’s going to be very exciting to witness the changes
that these young people are going to make and the lives that we are
going to affect.”
Eating disorder programming for adolescents and adults is also available
at Rogers
Behavioral Health—Tampa Bay. Partial programming is offered to
adolescents and adults
six hours per day, five days per week. Intensive outpatient programming
is available for adults three hours per day, five days per week.
