Cinemas today announced that Atom Tickets’ first-of-its-kind,
theatrical mobile ticketing platform and app is available for all
Landmark Cinemas across Canada. To celebrate Atom’s arrival in Canada,
everyone’s first movie ticket purchased through the Atom Tickets app
will be free for the entire month of April at all Landmark Cinemas.
The new social, mobile ticketing platform is designed to make
movie-going simple. Movie fans can use the app to purchase tickets and
concessions, coordinate and invite friends without having to pay for
them and skip the lines at the theatre, all without incurring additional
usage fees. The free app is available at both the Apple
App Store and Google
Play.

Atom has made the “first ticket free” offer available for the entire
month of April in every market that has a Landmark Cinema including:
Vancouver, Edmonton, Kitchener/Waterloo, Whitby, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and
St. Catharines. Atom Tickets made its Canadian debut last month at
Landmark Cinemas in Calgary.
For consumers, Atom Tickets reimagines the most convenient way to plan a
night out. The app provides relevant reviews, trailers and synopses
information to help users make a decision on what to see. Then, with a
few clicks, movie-goers can seamlessly invite friends to the same show
and order tickets and concessions to skip all the lines in the theatre.
Upon arrival, consumers redeem their tickets by simply scanning their QR
code at tablets located at the usher and concession stands in the
theatre. For Canadian movie-goers, there are no fees, no paper tickets
and no IOU hassles.
