The mayor of Miami suburb Doral has announced that this years Miss Universe pageant will be held right in his hometown, an announcement many around the world are waiting to officially be made this Tuesday.

With the face of New York beauty queen Kira Kazantsev as the new Miss America fresh on the minds of many, the world has been awaiting to know the location of the 2014 Miss Universe pageant.
Many might ask why Miami, but it should be more like, Why not?
Known as the capital of beautiful people in the U.S. with its diverse mix of beautiful women and its often year-found summers in its beaches, Im wondering why Miami hasnt hosted more of these pageants.
Mayor of Doral, Luigi Boria announced last week that the pageant will be held at the Trump National Doral Miami resort, owned by Donald Trump. The lavish hotel, golf course and spa has been in the international spotlight for years as the site of the annual golf event most recently known as the Cadillac Golf Championship.
A few years ago Trump bought the Doral resort and has been making upgrades to the property ever since.

We must wonder if this was the plan all along after acquiring the resort.
Trump himself hasn’t confirmed the report, but everyone awaits the official public announcement to be made Tuesday.
The Miami Herald reports that the Doral City Council approved a $2.5 million stipend for the beauty pageant’s organizing body.
Women from around the world compete in Miss Universe annually for the coveted title, and it’s considered one of the largest pageants in the world.
NBC is a partner with Donald Trump in the Miss Universe venture.
