Stars to welcome new year at ‘Rockin’ Eve’ bonanza

The new year is about to knock on everyone’s door, and we, along with some of the hottest music stars, will be welcoming 2015 with a rockin’ bonanza. Imagine ringing in the new year with Magic!’s “Rude,” Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets.” Well, now you can! And no, this isn’t a cheesy ad to “Now That’s What I Call Music: New Year’s Edition.” SEE ALSO: Bring in the new year with Jennifer Lopez Instead, it’s our way to give you the good news that the annual “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacreast” spectacle is heading our way, and with some amazing music acts in the lineup. Country/Pop star Taylor Swift, reggae band Magic! and Broadway songstress Idina Menzel, among others will be performing at the traditional holiday event live from New York City’s Time Square. The “Shake it Off” singer will headline the celebration, shaking off a successful 2014 only to welcome new ventures. “Each year, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve continues its iconic legacy by delivering incredible performances from the year’s hottest artists, and this year is no exception,” Seacrest said, calling Swift “the biggest superstar in music today,” reports Rolling Stone. But the East Coast is not the only one getting all the fun. The “Billboard Hollywood Party,” hosted by Fergie, will also get the fiesta going in the West Coast with performances by British boy band One Direction, R&B star from Miami Jason Derulo, Aussie hip-hop artist Iggy Azalea, and more.
