Watch how these boys react when asked to slap a girl

Unfortunately we all have heard stories of domestic violence. Some are closer to our hearts, others we have learned about from the media and there are thousands more which are yet to come to light. It is a positive change to see the reaction these boys have when they’re asked to slap a girl -roughly their age.- While campaigns such as #WhyIStayed #WhyILeft, Project Unbreakable and #BeenRapedNeverReported serve as means of expressions for victims of domestic violence, and forms of creating awareness, definitely the best way to prevent these crimes is early education.

Italian media company fanpage.it created the video to show how both violence and pacifism are thought -and learned- at an early age.

-Why don’t you want to slap her,- the interviewer asks one of the boys.

-Because I don’t want to hurt her,’ the boy answers. Pretty simple and yet extremely powerful.
