The 2014 World Cup has reached its end. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a tad heart-broken the soccer phenomenon is over. I think Rihanna can back me up –she’s only been World Cup crazy since forever.

The pop star has been on board with the soccer competition since it began on June 12, and if you follow her on Twitter, you’d know exactly what I’m talking about.

Throughout the month-long games, Rihanna was mostly supportive of Brazil and the Netherlands.

At times she showed respect for Colombia’s James Rodriguez and U.S.A’s goalkeeper Tim Howard for their exceptional skills.

But in the end, it’s Germany who won her over. I mean, did you see her all hyped up at the World Cup finals?

She celebrated while watching from the bench and then celebrated with the winning boys at the after party.

Our favorite though, is Rihanna’s World Cup aftermath tweet. And the tweet that followed by Germany’s Podolski thanking the Barbados star for an “unFOURgettable” night.

I touched the cup, held the cup, kissed the cup, took a selfie wit the cup!!! I meeeaan…… what is YO bucket list looking like bruh?

@rihanna What a night with our biggest fan. UnFOURgettable! Thanks Rihanna!! — Lukas-Podolski.com (@Podolski10) July 14, 2014

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this World Cup was a true shocker. All that can be said is thank you to all the teams for the great memories!

Let the countdown for the 2018 World Cup begin. It’s only 1, 426 days, 204 weeks and 48 months away.
