Víctimas de violencia doméstica y el error de DiGiorno: #WhyIStayed
El caso de Janay Rice abrió esta semana la discusión alrededor del tema de violencia doméstica. Mientras (sorpresivamente) muchas mujeres se volcaron a criticar a Janay por permanecer al lado de su esposo y defenderlo a través de las redes sociales, las víctimas se animaron a compartir sus historias a través de las redes sociales #WhyIStayed. DiGiorno Pizza aprovechó la popularidad y saltó a la conversación con un tweet que no le hizo gracia a nadie:
DiGiorno se dio cuenta de su error y a los pocos minutos había borrado el tweet y posteó este en reemplazo:
Tras el incidente DiGiorno ofreció este comunicado:
“Este tweet fue un error, del que nos dimos cuenta y el que borramos rápidamente. Nuestro manager de social media -y el equipo DiGiorno- lo lamenta sinceramente.
El tweet no es un reflejo de nuestros valores y hemos estado respondiendo personalmente a todos los que nos han contactado en social media.
Pedimos disculpas”.
