Paquita la del Barrio and Genitallica have joined forces to give life to a new single, new video and even a new genre.

She is the Queen of Rancheras from Veracruz, Mexico, who’s highly known and admired for her stance against los hombres machistas (the sexist male culture) –just ask your mom and all your tias.

Together, these two Latino artists have given birth to a new genre they like to call “Rockteño,” a brilliant mash-up between rock music and norteño.

What’s even more charming is the way they decided to introduce this fresh and creative mix.

In a nutshell, the Latin rock band, who has been active since 1998, gave a heavy rock-n-roll face lift to Paquita’s classic “Invitame a Pecar Contigo” (although we’re all clear that her original piece is a real gem).

If that’s not enough, fans of Paquita are in for a real treat, as for the “Rata de Dos Patas” singer is also featured in the upcoming  music video, alongside Toy Selectah and Grupo La Leyenda.

Though it’s yet to be released, behind-the-scene photos have already made the rounds, giving fans snippets of what to expect.

The remake of “Invitame a Pecar Contigo” forms part of Genitallica’s latest production “A la Larga te Acostrumbras” (You Get Use To It In The Long Run).
