Reese Witherspoon has declared her admiration for Eugenio Derbez, and he is dumbfounded.

During her appearance at the International Film Festival in Los Cabos, Mexico this week, the actress from New Orleans manifested that she’s interested in working with the Mexican actor and director.

“In fact, I talked to Eugenio; I asked him to be part of my next film, but he was busy already filming one,” she told People en Español. “But, we are in contact and we will find a way to do something together.”

Witherspoon also took advantage of the event to speak highly of him, and expressed why she would like to collaborate with him.

“Because he’s wonderful, he’s very fun and a great actor. He’s a very talented person,” she said. “Tell him, when you see him, that I’ve asked to make a movie with him.”

Though Derbez did not form part of the festival in Los Cabos, he quickly got the memo and was humbled.

The “Instructions Not Included” director and actor reached to Facebook, where he shared various articles that reproduced the news.

In one of them he stated “it’ll be an honor” and in another, he said “how am I not going to enjoy working with this offer?”

The invitation sounds enticing, but Witherspoon is not the only one after the comedian. For example, Jenni Rivera’s family would love for Derbez to take the reigns of her biopic and direct the film.

Witherspoon has also been spotted on social media, hanging out with Colombian actress Sofia Vergara.

The two are starring in a forthcoming comedy called “Don’t Mess With Texas,” where a police officer (Witherspoon) goes on a run in Texas with a prisoner wife of a drug dealer (Vergara).

At Los Cabos film festival, where she premiered her latest film “Wild,” Witherspoon also mentioned that she’s getting very involved with the Cine Latino.

But truth be told, we suggest she grabs a number and makes the line, because Derbez is the latest and hottest Latino in Hollywood.
