If there’s one thing the late Mexican singer Jenni Rivera is remembered by, it’s her way to overcome obstacles and shine brighter than a diamond. July 2nd would have marked Rivera’s 45th birthday.
This is also the second birthday her family spends without “La Gran Señora” singer.

“It’s a day to tell her that we love her, miss her, that we hope she’s proud of what we’re doing, how we are celebrating her life and legacy,” Chiquis told People en Español.
Instead of mourning her mother, who tragically passed away in December 2012 as a result of a plane crash, her loved ones rather embrace who she was as a mother, sister, daughter, friend and artist.
“On her birthday, we always think about her with much love and with the beautiful smile that she had,” Chiquis, 29, says of her siblings, Jacquie, 24, Michael, 23, Jenicka, 17, and Johnny, 13.
They also tend to keep her memory alive by celebrating with music, good food and tequila –three of Jenni’s favorite things.
On behalf of the Mexican star’s 45th birthday, her CD/DVD “1969 – Siempre: En Vivo Desde Monterrey Parte 2″ was released on July 1st.
The production has songs she performed at her last concert on Dec. 9, 2012 in Monterrey, Mexico just hours before her accident.
And according to her brother, Juan Rivera, the family is also working on a documentary to honor her life; on the other hand, we remember the “Diva de la Banda” with 10 of her most memorable quotes.
